Use of lower case

[edit]

@Dicklyon: Again, German nouns are in title case; this includes the Swiss German word Jass, also called Jassen. I see you've also moved the article back to its old name. The name of the group was chosen to conform to the classification here on Wikipedia which is based on McLeod, not Parlett. McLeod's classification is more logical and comprehensive. Please ask about these things if your not sure. I'm still happy to take questions in retirement. Bermicourt (talk) 10:10, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'll cap Jass (and probably italicize it since it's not English). And thanks for mentioning the McLeod (pagat) system. I had noticed that (your recent migration to that system, with lots of new categories, etc) just yesterday, and I've emailed McLeod to ask where it's from or whether he came up with it. We need to more clearly acknowledge the origin of the system and what system we're using when we talk about groups; do we have an article on it? Does anyone else follow that system? I find books with "family" and "games" more than "group" in describing these things. Dicklyon (talk) 16:54, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
