Notable but in need of cleanup[edit]

I'd say the guy seems notable, although the article is hard-up for some citations and formatting. But, more importantly-- Why is this titled "Acceptible file formats"? Cantras 19:03, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On reflection, I agree - will move to James Record and tag {{wikify}} and {{unref}} - Tiswas(t/c) 19:07, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

This article has been untouched for too long with no cleaning. I've been brutal - removed cruft, added tags, attempted to improve the style and order the article a little better. There's more pruning to do, however - the sourcing is still inadequate for the claims - Tiswas(t/c) 09:29, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added quite a bit to the article, including the date of death from the Social Security Death Index, a partial bibliography, and a nice photo from our pals at NASA. There is still quite a lot to do as James Record is one of the five or six most important people to Huntsville, Alabama, in the latter half of the 20th century. - Dravecky 23:30, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added quite a bit more to this article, including an infobox and more referenced biographical information. Frustratingly, while I was able to find online county records for his first marriage, the second marriage is just months outside the scope of that database. Also, I have been unable to determine the end date of either marriage. The SSDI records are not conclusive enough and I can find no free online source. I think I've got it up to at least "Start" class now but I'll wait to find that missing personal info before submitting it for evaluation. - Dravecky 00:05, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
