IF JMI refers to 'Jennings Musical Instruments' why does the plate on my '60's Vox amp say Jennings Musical Industries Ltd. ?????

Confusion over JMI

[edit]

There seems to be some cofusion about the name of Tom Jenkins' company:

This is derived from various sources including Wiki:

1) The company was first called Jennings Organ Company, formed in

2) Jennings Musical Instruments Ltd formed in 1950

3) In 1956 the company name Jennings Musical Instruments Ltd was changed to Jennings Musical Industries Ltd (this is supported by the first comment above).

4) But in 1967 Tom Jennings left the company in disgust at the direction it was taking and started a new company called Jennings Electronic Industries.
