Parents

In the personal life: religion section there is a contradiction about her parents its starts "Although her parents weren't religious" but later says "They're really religious" I'm assuming the quote from her is accurate but could someone change it so it is correct. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.76.187.92 (talk) 23:28, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Addition about Bill O'Reilly

Thank you to Locke Cole for adding a source on that statement (even though it appears to be a news aggregator rather than an actual article). Still, though, I don't think it's encyclopaedic (here is the addition) and smacks of recentism. It's simply not that significant (political leanings in general are, but this is just one statement, and a pretty innocuous one at that, in a section that already shows her political leanings, the fact that she supported Obama, etc.). I didn't want to revert without discussion now that it's not a BLP violation (the first time the information was added, I removed it because there was no source), but there's my two cents. The line refers to Alba's father. It's saying both his parents (Alba's paternal grandparents) were born in California. Gimmetrow 05:45, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Regarding Alba and religion

New additions

Ashley92995 has made some large additions to the article (diff, 34 revisions), much of which needs reviewed. I tried to clean up some (diffs), but a lot of work is still needed, and I have left some tags:

1. A copyedit of all the additions is needed, as they include lots of grammatical, stylistic, and typographical errors; I tried to fix what I could, but there are probably still problems, and I would appreciate it if a third editor could go through and look before removing the tag.
2. Many of the additions, especially in the "personal life" section, are just lots of quotations from Alba or others. I tagged the personal life section with {{quote farm}} and have removed lots of quotes already, but all the additions still need to be reviewed, as many of the quotes don't contribute much or could be summarized instead of quoted; WP:QUOTE#when not to quote has more information.
3. All the references added are bare urls, and need to be formatted properly to include all the ref information (author, title, date, publisher, accessdate, etc.). Since the rest of the article uses citation templates, these should as well. Cleaning up the refs is not difficult, just a little time-consuming.

Now Ashley92995 has done this again (19 revisions). Major cleanup is still needed; most of these additions are undesirable, because they have added grammatical errors ("had asthma since she child"), overly flowery peacock wording ("Alba's "sex appeal" begins to reache new heights"), and overly detailed point-by-point recounting of every award she has gotten (the Public Image section is now a ridiculous prose timeline describing every award she has ever gotten). I'm sorry for any troubles I have caused while editing (grammer, citations etc). It was an honest mistake, I don't want to in any way negatively effect this article. I do agree with what your saying on the public image section, I think that regular awards she has won should be added to the career section because awards, noms, etc are part of her work as an actress.
