The hymns below were listed for this John Fawcett. But, based upon birth and death dates of this John Fawcett there is no way he can be the one that wrote "Blest be the Tie". I suggest that that John Fawcett is this one: John_Fawcett_(theologian). For now I am removing the hymn listing from this article page and putting them on this discussion page.

The confusion arises because John Fawcett (theologian) wrote the text of the hymn "Blest be the tie", whereas John Fawcett (of Bolton) set the other three texts to music (amongst his many other compositions). All those three (Strike seraphs strike, Spirit leave thy house of clay, and Now is Christ risen) have been recorded by the group Psalmody [1], which is probably why they, rather than other works of Fawcett's, were listed in the article. We should have a list of Fawcett's published works, but since this mention of just three of them is so far from comprehensive, I propose to leave it here for the time being.
