[edit]This article is grossly over referenced. Fewer references would make it much easier to read, especially where there are numerous ref numbers together (Bundling refs would help considerably. Frankly, it's a mess. Emeraude (talk) 13:53, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, what are you suggesting? If I place only few citation, some other wikipedians will mark the article as unreferenced. Thank you AntonyZ (talk) 20:06, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
- There are whole batches of reference numbers that make readability poor. Consider the end of the seconf paragraph: "During World War II, he was instrumental in the planning of Operation Vengeance, the American military operation to kill Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto of the Imperial Japanese Navy on April 18, 1943.[1][2][3][4]" The same happens, exactly, at the end of the third paragraph. And the fifth, eleventh and twelfth! And many others. And even more in combination with other refs. They could easily be bundled. Or just reduced. There is no need for more than one reference for any statement. I would have simplified things myself, but, quite frankly, it's such a confusion that I couldn't be bothered to check each reference and decide which one would suffice for each place.
