[edit]

A note to editors: communication from the Military District of Washington has emphasized that while the proper name of the Joint Force Headquarters National Capital Region has been inconsistently written with and without a hyphen (separating "Headquarters" and "National") up until this time, a concensus has been reached on deleting the hyphen in all future formal and informal written media. However, the acronym, JFHQ-NCR, maintains the hyphen for the time being.

As an additional note, "Force" is singular, not plural. ScreaminEagle 02:55, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Permanant name change to Joint Task Force-National Capital Region

[edit]

This organization permanently changed its name from Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region (JFHQ-NCR) to Joint Task Force-National Captial Region (JTF-NCR) in 2021 (not 2022 as I mentioned in my edit). I'm not sure how to best address this name change on this article, but the name and logo are no longer correct on this article. I went ahead and made the necessary changes as well as a few other sentences that needed to be adjusted because of this name change and because they were no longer in the correct tense.
