ceive and sieve

Re [1]: Seive and ceive differ in three letters, not just in one. It's receive, not recieve. And it's sieve, not seive. Therefore, we cannot say that sieve and receive have the same spelling pattern. Sieve has KIT, but chief (and other "ie" words) have FLEECE. The fact that receive also has FLEECE has nothing to dowith sieve, because ie is not the same as ei. Note also that Cieve means consonant+ieve, not cieve. Piaractus (talk) 14:49, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
