What changes need to be made to the KRBE wiki?[edit]

I see where some one continues to re-insert the names of KRBE's "legendary" days in the first paragraph. I've removed this a few times. I tend to like the "former personalities" section (i created it) and think posting those names there is enough. What else needs work? - John Fernandez (talk) 02:47, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Is KRBE still a mainstream Top 40?[edit]

Whilst they have been the heritage "CHR" station for the Houston metro, KRBE has noticeably leaned Hot AC since Cumulus purchased the station from Susquehanna back in 2006. During the late-2000s, KRBE was known for skipping any rhythmic songs (be it hip-hop, R&B, or dance), playing songs as early as 1992, and having a strong affinity for Modern AC fare like Rob Thomas and Matchbox Twenty.

Even as of 2021, a large portion of KRBE's playlist consist of songs that are 3-7 years old, maybe even older than that. Looking at the Tunegenie playlist for KRBE for 02 November 2021, KRBE continues to give airplay to older songs like Believer, Him & I, Sorry Not Sorry, This Love (a Maroon 5 song from 2004!), There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back, Raise Your Glass, and several others. With a large gold playlist, KRBE should be an Adult Top 40 or even a Hot AC. Compare KRBE to, say, KIIS or Z100. The latter two stations are not obsessed with old songs the way KRBE is.

But considering that Houston is a more conservative, less trend-obsessed metro area, which is especially apparent in suburbs like Cypress, Katy, The Woodlands, and League City, KRBE's Hot AC-leaning approach is paying dividends in billing and ratings. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Victorres43 (talk • contribs) 23:54, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Non-constructive/non-RS edits to the KRBE article[edit]

Does anyone know who keeps making the "According to an Alexa answers contributor" and "Roula Christie and Ryan Chase" edits to the KRBE article? I (192.55.241.101, anonymous user) and several other editors reverted their edits multiple times and others are still editing this article by putting edits with these stuff like these.:

"According to an Alexa answers contributor: intermittent clouds mean it will be mostly sunny with periods of cloudiness from time to time."
"According to an Alexa answers contributor: intermittent clouds means that it’s partly cloudy and partly sunny, which by the new definition is that’s between 3 8s and 5 8s is that skies covered by clouds."
"According to an Alexa answers contributor: 104.1 KRBE is a radio station located in Houston Texas."
KRBE "104.1 FM" is a "commercial and music radio station" in Houston, Texas. "Roula Christie And Ryan Chase."

Like why do they keep adding stuff that are non-constructive or not providing a reliable source? Are they dumb or something? So whoever started these stuff like these, please stop. If we find out that this happens, the edit will be reverted by me or another editor.
