‘Jānis Kalniņš, Canadian composer, son of Alfreds (see de:Jānis Kalniņš)’ is a red link.

‘Jānis Kalniņš, Latvian ice hockey goaltender’ is a blue link. But when one clicks it, one arrives at an article about the composer.

Something went wrong here. Sijtze Reurich (talk) 10:25, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I found out what happened. Last year someone wrote an article about the ice hockey player, called ‘Jānis Kalniņš’. This article has been deleted on 30 December 2010. On 6 February 2011 another person wrote an article about the composer and called it ‘Jānis Kalniņš’ instead of ‘Jānis Kalniņš (composer)’. Hence the confusion between the two Kalniņšes.
I renamed all links to the ice hockey player: ‘Jānis Kalniņš (ice hockey player)’, though they are red links now. A link to ‘Jānis Kalniņš’ is invariably a (blue) link to the composer now. Sijtze Reurich (talk) 12:54, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
