English and Norwegian Kanes[edit]
I remeved the sentences "The surname is also regarded as an English surname. It is also a noble Norwegian surname" as there is no citation for them. Perhaps if someone wants to re-add them they could include a reference or two. Sophie means wisdom (talk) 17:27, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
source issue[edit]
I don't think the source used for the English origin of the name is valid. The Dictionary of American Family Names lists an English origin for Cane, with a 'c', but the same source treats 'K'ane as a separate name but does not list it as English[1]. What do you think?
