Citogenesis on chief forester mugging?

Detail "chief forester mugged in his own forest" was added on March 24th, 2016 and only cited as "personal correspondence." The first press detail I could find was from November 11, 2016 (https://swara.co.ke/karura-forest-more-than-just-a-pleasant-walk-in-the-woods/) with no corresponding interview or source.
