I think there is a mixup with regard to the Doumani-material (another Khan Tujjar?). "Our" Khan al-Tujjar, (that is, the one that is pictured) certainly wasn´t situated in the "center of Nablus". Instead, it was close to Mount Tabor. I uploaded the picture in Thomson to the commons a while ago [1]. Cheers, Huldra (talk) 21:34, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was curious too when I first uploaded it. Maybe it's not the right Khan al-Tujjar, however, the source of the image says it's in Nablus. --Al Ameer son (talk) 21:47, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The source [2] say "Fair at Khân Et-Tujjar, Near Mount Tabor". It is clearly the same fair as in Thomson, and the one described by Sharon (again, "Near Mount Tabor"). I haven´t read Doumani enough to know what is described there. I first read about the place in Schölch, who quoted Thomson. Thanks for starting the article! Oops (I read the tags, not the title!). I'm now convinced there were two Khan al-Tujjars in Palestine: one in the middle of Nablus and the other near Mount Tabor-the latter was the one founded by Sinan Pasha. Images of the Nabulsi khan built in the 15th century are here ([3]). We got some sorting out to do (and possibly create a second article on the Tabor khan). --Al Ameer son (talk) 22:26, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I agree with you, it looks as if we have two khans, the "middle of Nablus" and the "near Mount Tabor". However, I am not sure this image ([4]) is of the "middle of Nablus" khan...it doesn´t look like that! I would have thought it was another (later) picture of the "near Mount Tabor"-khan? Yes, there are no buildings around and it looks as if its in ruins. All these website images are misleading me. Tiamut went to Nablus, maybe we should ask her if she encountered a Khan al-Tujjar. Until then, I'm removing the image. --Al Ameer son (talk) 22:40, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, if you remove the image, then all I have added should go, too. As what I have added is about the "near Mount Tabor" khan, i.e. the khan in the picture. Oootsh, this is becoming a mess, Huldra (talk) 22:59, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I say we just go ahead and start the article Khan al-Tujjar (Mount Tabor) and move this one to Khan al-Tujjar (Nablus) and then create a disambiguation page. Whatcha think? --Al Ameer son (talk) 23:11, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What about making *this* article into a disambiguation page, then create the two articles you suggest ...I´ll like to work on the (Khan al-Tujjar (Mount Tabor) article (as that is the one I know something about)...and I would like to take the material from this article which belongs there (that includes the picture!) and move it there. And leave Khan al-Tujjar (Nablus) (which I know nothing about) to you..ok? Huldra (talk) 23:24, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I moved the Nablus-associated info to its appropriate article. Good luck with your Khan al-Tujjar! --Al Ameer son (talk) 23:37, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
