I am rather puzzled that my amendment for opening this station has been amended from 1886 to 1870 so I have investigated further. From research it appears the first line through the station between Glenoglehead- Tyndrum was opened in 1873 as part of the Callander and Oban Railway. The main purpose for a station at Killin Junction was a junction station for the branch to Killin/Loch Tay which opened in 1886 so I therefore consider that 1886 was the more likely date in connection with the branch opening. It appears that the book by "Butt" may contain an error!. Steamybrian2 (talk) 22:28, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
