Decency

[edit]

I'm going to try to edit this article to at least make it look decent. Matt Traywick 03:12, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[1] Some of these are notable, but most are not. If there have been third party publications written about some of these references then by all means include them, with said sources in a prose format. JBsupreme (talk) 19:46, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on La Di Da Di. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

What to do about the Legacy section

[edit]

The excessive list of songs that have sampled and/or referenced this song (many of which are not referenced, some of which seem like stretches) looks to have been a problem since early on in this article's existence. Surely the body of the article should be more substantial than a list of other songs.

I'm not sure what should be done, though - should the references be excised completely in favor of songs that have only sampled the song? Should it be split into its own, more structured article? I definitely think the other sections need more information. I know The Rap Year Book has a chapter on "La Di Da Di," and I think a song as important as this one should have some scholarly or thinkpiece writings lying around.
