Copyright concerns
[edit]Content entered into the article with this edit duplicates text at [1]. While permission has been asserted, this needs to be verified in order for us to display the text. The template now blanking that content contains directions for verifying permission. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:03, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
Copyright problem removed
[edit]One or more portions of this article duplicated other source(s). Infringing material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license. (For more information, please see "using copyrighted works from others" if you are not the copyright holder of this material, or "donating copyrighted materials" if you are.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. Contributors may use copyrighted publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences or phrases. Accordingly, the material may be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:26, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
More cleanup
[edit]User:Mary Foster requested the temporary restoration of the deleted versions of the article so that she could mine usable material from it that had not been salvaged. In investigating, I discovered that evidently I had not gone far enough back in removing the contributions of User:BM75, anyway, and had inadvertently restored the copyrighted content to the article myself. Accordingly, I have split out the presumed clean content and have temporarily placed the deleted versions at Lactoperoxidase/deleted revisions 2010-04-11.
Contributors are welcome to salvage any material they are able from that text, as long as the content is not a problem under copyright policy or non-free content policy and guideline. (Extensive quotations of non-free content, such as abstracts, on Wikipedia are forbidden by the latter.) Content that has been merged with material contributed by User:BM75 is also not retainable, as that constitutes an unusable derivative work. (However, it can be completely rewritten.) If you salvage material that you placed yourself, you do not need to provide attribution, but if you salvage creative content contributed by another user you must do so in edit summary. An example of this in action is visible in this summary.
The split out version will need to be redeleted soon, as we have not received verification of permission to use the text placed by User:BM75. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:54, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
