Warren Wreck

[edit]

I added the POV-section template to the Warren's Wreck section as it reads like an advertisement from a brochure than a statement of facts about the wreck. It is a noteworthy point of interest, but it should be phrased differently. It is also lacking references. Time permitting I may do a little research & try to correct these issues. --Shporang (talk) 03:37, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have a draft of what I think the section should look like on my talk page, though I'm not comfortable posting it as is without at least a little research to back it up as I made some pretty serious assumptions while making revisions --Shporang (talk) 04:08, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Doing a quick search revealed that the entire section on the Warren wreck was copied word for word from http://www.boydski.com/diving/dives/warren_wreck.htm I deleted the section until a suitable replacement can be written. --Shporang (talk) 04:26, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Barns Cove

[edit]

I grew up in Port Angeles, and often went to Lake Crescent as a child. At Barns Cove beach there is a phenomenon there in which a v-shaped wake, similar to that formed by a passing boat will periodically appear and make a circuit of the cove. My parents attributed it to the "Barns Cove Monster". I wanted to say something about this in the main page, but a brief search on google turned up nothing on the Barns Cove Monster, and I didn't want to include "original" research. Could someone please investigate this? Is this a known phenomenon or is this somehow unique to Lake Crescent? The temperature of the lake is cold year round, and as such I only went there on warm summer days. No idea if it happens any other time of the year, or even in other parts of the lake.--Shporang (talk) 07:34, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Typo: in the Depth section, the word "layed" should be changed to "laid".
