The section titled 'Injuries During Filming'[edit]

Back in August I spent a good while going through the episodes aired on BBC and editing this feature of the article to near enough completion. Then a few others also contributed and corrected my mistakes to make it better. Somewhere along the line, some editor took it upon themselves to remove this bit wholesale from the article - without so much as posting here. Great stuff.

I have recovered the last version of this section from the history, and I present it here, so it can be discussed and possibly reinstated, since I see no reason not to add it to the article.

It will need information on the episodes not aired on BBC since I have not seen them.

== Injuries during filming ==

In episode three Corey was forced to retire from the mexican endurance race due to shin splints. Richard and Brad suffered from heat sickness and eventually dropped out. Rajko endured severe blistering of his feet to win the round.

In episode four, Mark fractured his heel during a pre-match fight, and had to retire.

In episode five Rajko broke two ribs when Jason body-slammed him in training, and barely competed.

In episode six Rajko lacerated his toes whilst chopping wood for a cricket bat, but later decided to play despite this, and won the match for his team (and the event for himself).

In episode seven, Mark suffered a suspected slipped disc in his lower back, and Rajko injured his knee while in training for Senegalese wrestling. They were both forced to retire from the event.

Rajko was thus the most injured athlete during the season, while still being one of the most successful contestants.\

Rajko's Ribs[edit]

I can't remember the exact number said to be broken during episode five, and I guess this should be the number listed in the article, although the BBC blog for the episode has it at three. Article in question Harmonica 07:26, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to richard hammond on the voice over on last nights episode it was TWO Ribs doesn't really matter as long as it was more than one hey! who doesn't like pain?

Stick fighting question[edit]

was the zulu stick fighting done in the show the same kind of stickfighting that is linked to in the article? because it seems to me that they are completely different. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Insanity x (talkcontribs) 17:49, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to edit anyway because the zulu stick fighting mentioned in the show clearly has different rules to the kind that it's linked to. (and besides its not like many people visit this page anyway)Insanity x 21:13, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Official Website.[edit]

Don't change the official website, the website SHOULD link to the BBC PAGE, and not the discovery one. The american programme last one standing has its own page! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Soot and stars (talkcontribs) 18:46, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

and here on Wikipedia it links here, there is no seperate page for the Discovery one since, aside from one word, it's the same show. Realisitcally, this page should include links to both the BBC and Discovery pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.132.138.116 (talk) 08:10, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why on earth was the injuries section taken out?

its mearly a description of events during the show and doesn't impede any copright. If it did any plot re-cap or summary of any film book or video game would be the same infrigement and thousands of Wiki articles would have to be culled. Soot and stars 14:46, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Showone05.jpg[edit]

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. The Last Man Standing[edit]

If there are three people stuck on 2 events won, then who really is the last man standing after it all? How was the ultimate winner determined?

In the U.S. version, the winner was determined by the votes of the contestants.

Canine masturbation?[edit]

Can we get a cite for this? I don't see mention of it on imdb or in a basic google search. --Jackdavinci (talk) 22:49, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Spoilers in the opening paragraph[edit]

Maybe it's not a great idea to list the overall winners right in the opening paragraph. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.90.13.85 (talk) 23:20, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
