insulting
[edit]I don't know who wrote this but it is very insulting. This is one of the most beautiful regions in the world to live in. No country in the world can fonction without a highway. Can you please check your info before posting it. I didn't know that personal opinions had become facts!
This is unprofessional!!!
- As far as I can tell, there is no information in the article that is in any way starkingly inaccurate. If you disliked it so much, you could have just changed it. You did edit the article to add this rant, after all. Circeus 18:31, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
Laurentians
[edit]It is actually called the Laurentians in English - and was originally listed under this name as well. How do you change the (spelling) of the word under which an article is listed?
(Technically, the name "Laurentides" did not even exist on maps until about 30 years ago, when the Quebec government's "language bureau" ("Office de la langue francaise") decided that an English-sounding name threatened their very existence...
- I live in the Laurentians and that's how it's described - the word 'Laurentides' pronounced in english is very rarely used. Pendragon39 19:47, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
