Is it really necessary to use the Dutch word? Surely a translation to English would be appropriate, party list leaders are not unique to The Netherlands after all. 92.238.109.148 (talk) 13:18, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

List puller?
[edit]Perhaps the reason why this term is used would be a good addition to this article? I speak dutch but am not certain about this though. I always assumed that the 'list puller' is called this way because she/he pulls the list of candidates up in the results through his/her popularity. The 'list pusher', usually the person who is expected to just get enough votes to secure a seat in parliament, is also in this position for the same respective reason, they 'push' from the other end with their own popularity. The candidates in the middle are ones which are expected to have safe seats.158.223.165.82 (talk) 16:13, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
