Photos[edit]

I have decided to add photos of the #1 songs. I went back to 2002, so please, someone help me add the rest of the photos. Tcatron565 7:12pm 12, May 2006

These are not a good idea. I've left you a message on your talk page. Thanks. -- eo 01:50, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the message you sent me said something about single covers. Those were album covers. not the single cover. But I get your points. Tcatron565 12:23, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

albums[edit]

I've reverted another Tcatron change to add a new column showing the albums. Again, I don't think this is a good idea, as this is a list of number one singles and there is no need to pull attention away from these songs. As of now, editors have gone through and wikilinked every number one title at least once, so clicking on these should give any album information (especially once all the red links are finally blue). Songs that appear on multiple albums (soundtracks, compilations, etc.) makes things more complicated. And I wonder who has all of the accurate album information on number one songs all the way back to 1955? If we add an album column here, it would open a new can of worms for adding the column to the R&B lists, the Dance lists, the Modern Rock lists. It's just overkill. -- eo 14:55, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

August 19[edit]

How can there have been a hit on 19 August when that day hasn't even occurred yet?

Read Billboard Hot 100. -- eo 06:30, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ME GUSTA QUE HAYA LLEGADO ILIANA CALABRO AL TOPE DEL RANKING BILLBOARD NO LO ESPERABA EN VERDAD, LE MANDO SALUDOS A RUDOLF ANHILLS DE BILLBOARD MAGAZINE.

yeah there is a nov. 25 and a dec 2 when we aren't even there yet

Akon, not Beyonce[edit]

Why did someone say that Beyonce hit #1 with Irreplaceable? Akon's "I Wanna Love You" is #1 this week.

Because some people have this strange need to be the first editor to post the new #1, even if it means throwing something into the article before Billboard publishes the chart. This is why there is a hidden note in the article and why rumor and non-Billboard message boards should never be used as a source. - eo 15:15, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Most likely a misunderstanding between Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs and Hot 100. She IS #1 for the week of December 16th though. 69.248.217.201 03:14, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You're probably correct, but what is your source? Until it is published by Billboard, it doesnt belong in an encyclopedia. - eo 03:25, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SexyBack[edit]

Shouldn't it be noted that Timbaland was featured on SexyBack? The fact that his vocals are featured on SexyBack bakes him the dominating artist of the Hot 100 with 13 weeks (6 with Promiscuous and 7 with SexyBack) and not Justin as many believe (who has only 10 - 3 with My Love and 7 with SexyBack)

It is noted in the SexyBack article. The single (and its listing in International charts) credit it to Timberlake only. - eo 03:24, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Easy way to keep updated?[edit]

This article looks like vandal central. There are entries for dates that haven't occurred yet. I don't think that the information is correct in some cases. Is everyone using the same source for their updates? Is anyone watching this page? -- Ben (talk) 14:32, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Ericorbit. Looks much better now. -- Ben (talk) 15:02, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
