Free agent disambiguation[edit]

The article is wrongly addressing player transfers, especially when it comes to free agents.

"In professional association football, a free agent is either a player that has been released by a professional association football club and now is no longer affiliated with any club, or a player whose contract with his or her current club has expired and is thus free to join any other club under the terms of the Bosman ruling."[1]

This article portrays clubs inevitably paying a transfer fee for a player who joins them, which is not always the case, as a high proportion of players join these clubs as free agents.
