amazon's 発売日 date vs 初版発行?

[edit]

In my shiny new copy of Excel Saga V21, the 初版発行 (first edition issue) date is listed as 平成20年11月12日 (aka 2008-11-12); however, Amazon's 発売日 (sale date) is 2008-10-29. Which should be the authoritative date listed in the article? --moof (talk) 16:10, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I tend to go with Amazon, primarily because that would be the date it actually started selling (i.e. was released) rather than when it was intended to be released (may have sent out the printings early or something). When it doubt, can also check against other retailers. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 16:20, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'd also go with the Amazon date. If you go all the way back to some of the first volumes, the dates inside are sometimes a month and a half off. The date on Amazon was the date it was released in Japan and the first date it was available for me to buy in Japanese store here in America. Once in a while I side with the dates in the books, but in this case it's too far off. Grapeofdeath (talk) 18:01, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment notes

[edit]

Looks like this article has been improved a lot. Expand the introduction to describe the work a little more. Get translations for the chapter titles, and perhaps lengthen the plot summaries slightly. --Kraftlos (Talk | Contrib) 11:13, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
