Tetsuko - woman?

[edit]

Is this really so? When I watched it, I got the impression that they pick on shonen-ai anime there, based on voices and possibly looks (Tetsuko looks like a feminine man to me)... Could someone (possibly a native speaker) clear this out?

  • Tetsuko, or Tecchan, is a play on both the Man in the Iron Mask and Darth Vader. Externally, you have the image of a man, but upon his death, as he asks Nabeshin to remove his mask, much like Darth Vader asking Luke Skywalker to remove his, he reveals himself to be a woman, much like the revelation that inside the black suit of Darth Vader was a wrinkled old white man, or at least the visage of Maetel, hence the train in the background as homage to Galaxy Express 999. This entire episode was one gigantic play on so many different things that catching all the references are very hard. Ryukumon (talk) 04:39, 27 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rename?

[edit]

I have been on a bit of a mission lately to rename articles to comply with Wikipedia:Lists (stand-alone lists). I propose to rename this article to List of Excel Saga characters. --Squilibob 04:03, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Excel-saga-menchi.jpeg

[edit]

Image:Excel-saga-menchi.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Reorganize?

[edit]

I think this is pretty cluttered. I think it would make more sense as having ACROSS and Kapabu's agencies as categories, then have other characters, then anime only characters, then manga only characters. Both media have a lot of unique characters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vaughnstull (talkcontribs) 23:43, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aliases

[edit]

FYI, in Excel Saga Anime, Excel refers herself as Hanako Dosukoi. and Hyatt was called Ayasugi by Watanabe. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.123.158.207 (talk) 17:38, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No manga characters?

[edit]

The manga is much, much different from the anime. There's in fact little it shares in common but the basic premise and the characters, so why is there only details on the character page to do with the anime? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.151.161.12 (talk) 22:29, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
