Possible COI
[edit]Lynn Momboisse's sole book related to Carmel-by-the-sea and her Voicemap.me travel blog pay-per-use travel guide is extensively cited by the user who created this page in this article, as well as other pages. If a voicemap.me voice tour is purchased, it causes commission payment to be paid out to the tour guide, therefore, there's an incentive to promote the travel blog. It was later discovered that around the time this article was made, they engaged in covert paid editing. @Netherzone and Melcous:, you two think this is a bit suspicious too? - Whether or not a COI is a possibility, Voicemap.me should definitely not be used as a reliable source if it is commercial pay-per-use travel blog. Netherzone (talk) 03:04, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Netherzone:, I think Henderson knows better given how long he's been and how many times he's been counseled on this matter and he's had all the opportunity to abate these sources, yet he's churning out more sources. I'm thinking this is another round of scattering client-oriented sources hoping to not get caught. The number of times he's cited a Carmel-by-the-Sea woman Lynn Momboisse and repeatedly linking to her voicemap.me suggests another possible covert UPE. Graywalls (talk) 07:22, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
- I have stopped using voicemap.me as a citation. I will continue to improve my articles by removing voicemap.me, familysearch.org, etc. I goal is to write articles with reliable, secondary, entirely independent sources. Greg Henderson (talk) 21:36, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
