Also remeber to place <br clear="all"> after each subsection so that there's no overlap and they stay neat. -ZeroTalk 11:31, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind. -ZeroTalk 12:09, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Critique

[edit]

Not bad. Will you be including characters from X Command Mission, Xtreme 1 and 2?

P.S. Don't include personalities. It is unnecessary.

Wolf ODonnell 13:04, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. I'll inlcude characters from Command Mission. Xtreme 1 and 2 I will not since they merely reused characters from Mega Man X and Mega Man X2. -ZeroTalk 14:35, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
On furthur thought, no I will not. They are covered in the List of Mega Man X characters well enough. -ZeroTalk 11:49, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Roster Of Mavericks

[edit]

Well... It's a list. (Again?!?!)

Ok... This time I bet these are the informative elements that can be added:

  1. Nickname (Eng. or with Jp.?). But there is only Japanese standard only, and no absolute translation like the past experience tells us, you know.
  2. Counterpart names (Eng. or with Jp.?). Well, they are still names...
  3. Weapon. Depending on the degree of necessity, since the weapon we have listed are actually ones "acquired" from them. They have a lot more skills which their names are not all known.
  4. Manga plots. If only what they do in the games are listed, then maybe it would be as simple as: Constructed -> Revolted -> Destroyed. It depends on need...

Leave your honourable comments. But now, list them all first. ~ Polobird 12:11, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No. Don't list them unless you write an section for them. If you do, please keep it brief. Only utilize English names. Keep weaponry out, it already in the List of Mega Man skills and attacks. Keep out manga plots; those aren't canon. -ZeroTalk 12:13, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blaze Heatnix picture

[edit]

I was looking for a picture of him, (from X6) and it just so happens wikipedia needs one as well. Can someone help me hunt? Toastypk 05:48, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've located one: Image:BlazeHeatnix.jpg. -ZeroTalk 06:29, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar?

[edit]

I see a great deal of grammar errors on this page. Has no one ever prooferead it? I'll try and fix them all up. - —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kilgamesh (talkcontribs)

Mention of Sigma Virus in Yeti's profile and other little mistakes.

[edit]

By all accounts, New Generation Reploids are completely virally immune. What makes these Repliroids go Maverick isn't the Virus, but much rather Sigma's own DNA data, which makes them see the world the way Sigma does. Their method of going Maverick has been exclaimed as Evolution, stating it as clearly different from past events. Hence, the notion of Sigma Virus inside a copy chip is just downright false. I'm removing it.

Furthermore, there's a lot of incomplete data and slight mistakes. Gravity Beethood for example, is the younger brother of Kuwanger, not the older. Additional IHX data is also seemingly missing, most noticably in Chameleo's profile; He fought with Sigma much like Eagleed did.

-Zan Sidera-

Yes, I know. I was attempting to say that, but my keyboard just never got it out. Thanks for the minor rewrite. As for Sting Chameleon, where did such information arise..? Is that depicted in Maverick Hunter X..? -ZeroTalk 14:14, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Chameleo's desire to prove his power is first mentioned in sourcebooks. From the collected sourcebook translation by SB20:

Sting Chameleo (Sting Chameleon) "Bewitcher of the Deep Forest" Before joining the rebellion, he was a repliroid in the 9th special force (ranger unit). Able to change the color of his body at will, he hides in the forest to ambush the enemy. He's a powerful hunter who battles using his long tongue and special weapon, Chameleon Sting, which fires from his tail in 3 directions. Of sly reputation, he was not trusted by his commander or the others in his unit. He left and joined the Sigma rebellion for a chance to prove his power. Height: 177cm Weight: 77kg

IHX/MM:MHX adds to it by stating that he fough with Sigma prior to joining him, no reason stated. But from the script his desire and his respect for those superior is clearly noticable:

STING CHAMELEON: Whoo hoo! It's Vile... I used to have nothing but respect for you, you know. VILE: In that case, get out of my way and let me pass. STING CHAMELEON: Nyah ha ha! I don't think so. We're going to have to fight! VILE: If you say so... I won't let you or Sigma stand in my way!

STING CHAMELEON: Nyah hah ha! Poor wittle X... Everyone's betrayed you... X: Sting Chameleon! So Sigma's even pulled you into his scheme! STING CHAMELEON: That's Master Sigma to you, X! He'll be king when the new world is born. Treat him with respect! X: I don't want to live in a world with him in charge! [X battles and defeats STING CHAMELEON.]

X: Why have you all fallen in with Sigma? STING CHAMELEON: Nyah hah ha! Some of us can't help it. Maybe there are hostages involved, and there's nothing we can do... X: Don't you know that what you're doing is Maverick? Well? Don't you? STING CHAMELEON: Maverick, schmaverick! I don't care so long as I make my mark!

This clearly notes him caring for power greatly and only listening to orders by those that can defeat him. Since Sigma did, he's following Sigma. The only oddity is the hostages remark, but I think that's just his sly nature showing through. -Zan Sidera-

where are the images?

[edit]

There used to be images for just about every maverick, but now, there are images for just about none! Where'd they all go? Starhood` 23:25, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rafflesian

[edit]

Should Rafflesian be added to the list of command mission mavericks? Although their isn't any concrete evidence that she's maverick people refer to boss characters as mavericks, although that may be a poor argument. BassxForte 02:09, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Cyber Peacock.jpg

[edit]

Image:Cyber Peacock.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:19, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ZX Mavericks

[edit]

They sets of eight are definitely called Mavericks in ZX, so they need to be included.KrytenKoro 03:08, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not neccesarily....that would be like calling the Neo Arcadian bosses in the Zero games Mavericks. Groove Guy 15:09, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Except that in Zero, they're not called Mavericks. Ever. The ZX bosses are.KrytenKoro
In Zero, you are the Mavericks fighting the Maverick Hunters. If anything the resistance characters should be listed here, but I doubt that really fits 70.17.0.103 19:48, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Psychtopus?

[edit]

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Dr. Psyche is based on an octopus to some extent. Note the 'tubular' mouth-piece, the bulbous head and, of course, the Mad Nautilus (which is a cepholpodian tentacled sea creature, so....). Groove Guy 15:13, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

...No, he's based off of a Nautilus. Which is why his name is Mad Nautilus.KrytenKoro
Not a lot of difference. I still say he's an octopus....man....thing. 89.124.80.35 12:49, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blaze Heatnix doesn't need his own article....

[edit]

Blaze Heatnix, one of the X6 investigators, has an article. It was already proposed for deletion, but they decided to keep it. So, I say merge it with this one. Any additional info on that page that isn't fancruft or unverified can be added on to his section here. So...who's with me? And who's against me? ChromeWulf ZX 20:43, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tornado Tonion the Gay Maverick

[edit]

I just HAVE to put in this jab at Tornado Tonion (Mega Man X7). I call Tonion the "Gay Maverick". I mean, have you heard his English voice? I swear, can anyone talk like he talks or dance like he dances... and NOT be considered gay?! --D-Boy Wheeler —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.223.42.0 (talk) 21:40, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's an assumption. How one acts and sounds doesn't neccessarily determine their sexuality. Unless you get word from Inafune-san that "yes, we decidedly made Tonion gay", your claims have no validity. End of discussion. ChromeWulf ZX (talk) 05:28, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Epsilon?

[edit]

Shouldn't he be on the list? I mean he was the initial anatagonist of Command Mission, and all of his cohorts are on the article as well. ChromeWulf ZX (talk) 05:29, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move proposal

[edit]

Shouldn't this be List of Mavericks (Mega Man X)? See Maverick for all the other possibilities. Matchups 03:15, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Crystal Snail = female?

[edit]

Is it true that Crystal Snail is female? And if so, how is it proven? Because I always read "she" on Crystal snails profile. 04:44, 07 June 2008 (UTC)

I'm quite curious about this myself. Are there any sources that say Crystal Snail what gender Crystal Snail is? 68.192.212.157 (talk) 17:41, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
