FL leads no longer start with "The following is a list of..." Consider starting with "The New York Yankees are a Major League Baseball team that plays in the American League East division." to introduce the team.
Lead needs to be expanded. Perhaps go into more detail about the roles of the coaches, history, amount of coaches, difference between manager and coach, etc.
Last paragraph of lead needs a ref.

Do you think so? I think there is a hierarchy amongst coaches. One article cited mentions that the bench coach is the second-in-command, so I feel that is the highest ranking coach. Then, the hitting and pitching coaches seem to be more influential than the base coaches and bullpen coach. I don't know that it's quantified, I'll look to see if it is, but it doesn't feel right to order them alphabetically. --Muboshgu (talk) 22:10, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
