How is Pele forgotten from this list?[edit]

Adding him, with stats from his Wikipedia page. Greg Salter (talk) 15:35, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's a work-in-progress (it goes A-F at the moment) that I don't have the time to complete yet. Feel free to add him and any others who are eligible. Regards, GiantSnowman 15:38, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I sorted by goals and didn't see his name there, I just realized it's only A-F at this point. Ignore this. Greg Salter (talk) 15:40, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is 1967 to be explicitly included or excluded? If excluded, would that not be arbitrary and unnecessary?[edit]

I noticed in a casual random check that Michael Ash, New York/Atlanta, 1967-71, played in 60 games with 15 goals. 1967 was in the NPSL. The introductory sentence states that this is a list for the NASL. Of course, the NPSL and USA merged after 1967 to form the NASL. Without an up-front statement of list inclusion criteria, it is not completely clear whether 1967 is to be included. If it is, then Michael Ash, as an example, is on the list. If not, he's off (he played in 44 games from 1968-71). Also, if 1967 is to be excluded, why would that not be an arbitrary and unnecessary exclusion that would only serve to keep the list shorter? And if so, it brings up the need for editors to check future list entries in order to kick out the 1967 offenders. Jeff in CA (talk) 19:12, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The list title confirms it is NASL 1968 to 1984 - so the 1967 NPSL should not be included. I see no reason, however, why it couldn't be a separate article. GiantSnowman 09:08, 24 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
