Corrected "Texas Revolution" to "Texan Revolution" for grammatical reasons. Some sources may have poor grammar, but many don't, so it's unjustifiable here. It's not the America Revolution, the France Revolution, or the Glory Revolution. Ain't the Texas Revolution, neether. -LlywelynII (talk) 13:44, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The battles

From a modern-Texan point-of-view, Gonzales is the beginning, as the table presently indicates. Yet, from an historical and global perspective, prior to Texas declaring Independence, the battles were between the Mexican Centralists and Federalists.

Between the Battle of Coleto Creek and San Jacinto, there were skirmishes:

  • at Beason's Crossinga (March 21-23);
  • at San Felipe de Austin's crossing (March 29);
  • at Thompson's Crossingb (April 12);
  • the Yellowstone took fire on April 15 at Old Fort;
  • and another skirmish near New Washington (April 20).

In addition, the naval battles need inclusion.

  • San Felipe1 against Correo de México - September 1, 1835
  • Liberty2 takes Pelincano - March 6, 1836
  • Invincible3 against Montezuma and takes Pocket - April 3, 1836
  • Independence4 against Bravo and Urrea - April 18, 1836
  • Burton's "Horse Marines"5 capture Watchman - June 2, 1836
