Rename Page?[edit]

Should this page be renamed to List of ambulance services in the United Kingdom? There are only 3 other ambulance services in the UK (Welsh Ambulance Service, Scottish Ambulance Service and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service) and it seems silly to place them in some sort of separate list. Does anyone have any comments about this? Road Wizard 20:43, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a good idea to me. --Achmelvic 20:53, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yorkshire[edit]

Given the name, it's possible that the Yorkshire Ambulance Service doesn't cover North Lincolnshire/North East Lincolnshire, which could possibly have been added to the engorged East Midlands Ambulance Service. Not been able to find a source for this, either way. 12:16, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

According to [1] "Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, comprising East and North Yorkshire, West and South Yorkshire as per the government region of Yorkshire and Humber. Teesside will become part of the North East Ambulance Service NHS Trust and North Lincolnshire will become part of the East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust." Here is the official press notice describing the new areas. With a few exceptions they appear to be based on the Government Office regions. Road Wizard 13:21, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Topic move out[edit]

This topic has been superseded by Emergency medical services in the United Kingdom, with all the previous information alongside a lot of other information. As soon as all links are removed, it should be moved for deletion Owain.davies 15:20, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have already commented on this at the deletion discussion, but this page has an active page history that needs to be retained. There is no particular need to delete a redirect, especially if it removes the record of editors' contributions. You may wish to consider the option of moving the article to the new name if you encounter this situation again. That way you will preserve the old page's history at the new location.
