As explained in edit summaries, it's misleading to link compositions by JO to literature by classical writers. It's perfectly acceptable to link if it's made clear that the link goes to the play or whatever — not to an article about a composition. Misleading links waste the time of the reader, hence they should be avoided. --Kleinzach 02:10, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cello Concerto in G

[edit]

I think someone should undertake writing a separate article for the G Major cello concerto ("Concerto Militaire"). Offenbach was an accomplished cellist, which shows in this composition. It is a very technical piece for the cellist, especially in the first movement. For this reason, I'd like to see a separate article about it. I will not write it myself, as I am not well versed in his music. Erzahler (talk) 12:38, 19 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Decameron or the blue grotto

[edit]

I wonder what to do with 'Le Décaméron, ou la Grotte d’azur', which is referenced in two reliable places:

It seems to pre-date the other Décaméron on the lists, but may be somehow related. Cg2p0B0u8m (talk) 19:04, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
