Added tags

Added NPOV, advert, globalize/North America and dubious tags. This article reads like an an advertisement for these companies, criterion for addition to this list is not clear (Udemy's inclusion could warrant including Facebook or Google Hangouts or Khan Academy or many other websites/apps), and most of these companies operate primarily in North America.

The fact that criterion for inclusion in this list is so ill-defined might make it a worthwhile candidate for deletion. Interested in hearing other thoughts on this.

question! Hi, I've never done a talk page before, but I went to add in BiteSquad to the list of food delivery companies. It struck me as odd that it wasn't on there already, but there's no Wikipedia page in existence for it. BiteSquad is in 14 different US states and is a multimillion dollar company , so I feel like it's big enough to make it on here? But I wasn't sure so I'm asking here. I also don't think this is the right place to be putting this question, either, but I couldn't figure out how to add a new section to this so uhhh here we are ! Canadian gig economy participation rate

Reading the Bank of Canada report, it's clear that the 30% figure is an outlier compared to 10% in the US or 15% in China. The report (p2-3) does state that when excluding people who participate in an informal ("gig") job as a hobby, that figure falls to 18%. Wouldn't using that 18% number be more in line with the other national statistics, such as the US Bureau of Labour Statistics statement that their 10% estimate for alternative employment only includes workers who use these jobs as their primary source of income?

Sorting companies according to category

In the spirit of Wikipedia:Be bold, I sorted the companies into tables as follows:

• Category/Service sector
• Column indicating the country where the company is based
• Footnotes indicating where the company's services are available
• Shading the row with bgcolor=ececec to indicate a former company now closed

I maintained the same descriptions and citations as the original list as far as possible, with minor spelling/grammar corrections.

The categories I used are as follows:

• Accomodation
• Caregiving
• Delivery
  • Grocery
  • Food
• Education
• Freelancing platforms
  • Business and Technical services
  • Creative services
  • Home services
• Legal services
• Retail
• Transportation and Parking

I included footnotes indicating where the company's services are available. Another way to include this information would be as a 4th column "Available in" or "Service Areas" in every table. An advantage of a 4th column would be the information would be more easily visible to the reader, but a disadvantage is that this may add too many redundant columns for most companies in the list whose services are only available in their respective home country. For now I have left this information as footnotes and I welcome views for consensus on this matter.

Sorting the companies by category and adding where the companies' services are available are substantial improvements to the article. Thank you so much for your great work, Kvwiki1234 (talk · contribs)! I support adding a fourth column called "Available in" or "Service Areas" as that would be very useful to the reader.
