Talk:List of golfers with most wins in one PGA Tour event

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As the links show, this article includes some of the biggest golf names in history. Like the list of most pga tour wins in a year, this record is just as notable given it requires longevity as well as excellence. The original claim was that this list was copied directly from pgatour.com. 1) It was not. There are in fact two additions on this complete list. Also, I included a "Multiple winners" section to outline the four golfers who have done so in more than one event. 2) Given it was recognized on the official website, that in itself indicates the level of expertise these golfers had in accomplishing this feat. Countless sources indicate Snead's record of eight wins in one event (as shown in the article) and even the Wyndham Championship page shows this record, given its importance.

Therefore, I feel this is a notable list of individuals who deserve recognition and I believe it more than qualifies for the "Golf records and rankings" category and for its own Wikipedia page. Supertigerman 01:56, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
