@Dey subrata, UniSail2 I want your attention here to verify the official FIFA A matches played by and goals scored by Ali Ashfaq. Give the source/reference here. I checked his stats at the NationalFootballTeams.com website that cites 49 international goals in 75 official matches by Ashfaq. (Although, website is yet to update his recent match played at 19th November 2019 that makes the tally 50 goals in 76 matches) Check this out.Hemant DabralTalk18:43, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hemant Dabral I will check, working already on the list of footballers with 50 goals. One thing I can assure, the FLC directors/administrators were not impressed by NFT website, I tried my best to convince them of its authenticity but they seems skeptical, I know its been used in many lists but I will check this list with other primary sources. @UniSail2 Even the stats produced by RSSSF.com have loads of inaccuracies within itself, such as:
According to the website, Ashfaq scored 51 goals in 76 official international matches. his last match the website updated is, Maldives vs. Palestine which is inaccuratly shown played on 13 November 2017, see the article 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualification – Third RoundMaldives vs. Palestine, the match was in fact played on 14 November 2017. Venue of the math is also inaccurately stated being Al-Ram, in fact the match was played in Jenin.
Secondly, He didn't play any international match in 2018 and played 4 matches in 2019 in which he scored 2 goals (his recent match and goal was against Guam on 19th November 2019 at the 2022 World Cup qualifier), so even if you manually add these 4 matches to the list by RSSSF.com, it adds up to 53 goals in 80 matches (not the 54 goals in 83 matches as incorrectly stated in his international goals list article on Wikipedia).
His 57th match against Laos is mentioned by RSSSF.com as a Non-official FIFA list-A international match, yet it's included in the official international matches list on the website.
That I will check and will have words with Roberto and will update shortly in RSSSF after checking all gaols.
The website stats are not reliable since it itself clarifies that some of his international matches and goals in 2004 and 2007 are missing in the said list and they are investigating about it. Hemant DabralTalk20:14, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hemant Dabral Will be updated shortly, many players list are not updated, we usually update after a season or big tournament, many articles need to be updated and articles which are under investigation, it may take certain times, but yes can be updated with in a short time. Wait a while. Dey subrata (talk) 00:49, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
