Azkaban. Huh?[edit]

Is Azkaban really a necessary inclusion?? Surely geographically correct entries are encouraged, maybe even Sealand if we're counting disputed territory. But a fictional island that isn't necessarily based upon a real UK island shouldn't be on this list.

Atlantic Ocean and Baltic Sea[edit]

Hi, may I suggest that these are split into two categories, Atlantic Ocean as one and Baltic Sea as another? It seems odd to put them together when the other major seas all have their own section. Any opinions? Yakikaki (talk) 18:00, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

New sections created for the Baltic Sea (which includes the Gulf of Finland, the Gulf of Bothnia and the Gulf of Riga) and the Great Belt and the Sound. There's probably no islands in the Little Belt large, populous or otherwise significant enough which would make their way to this list. 1.64.46.4 (talk) 14:58, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Osterøy[edit]

I should think the Norwegian island Osterøy should be included in this article. I've left a suggestion to that effect on its Talk page. --Hordaland (talk) 15:51, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have no difficulty with that - but one of the numerous deficiecies of this list is that it makes no attempt to outline any criteria for inclusion. I will make some attempt to organise the UK section more effectively as all it does at present is list a few islands and a few archipelagoes but as (for example) there a hundred inhabited Scottish islands and hundreds more that are uninhabited it is not going to be easy to be consistent. Isle of Sheppey and other similar islands[edit]

Should these islands be moved to the section for the North Sea instead? 1.64.46.4 (talk) 14:54, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
