Legailty, caveat
[edit]Just to prevent a witch hunt here... Shouldn't there be at least a small comment somewhere, that it is not automatically illegal to appear in those papers?
Q: Are all of the people and companies that appear in the Paradise Papers engaged in criminal activities?
A: No. Much of the activity documented in the data is legal – such as when multinational corporations use subsidiaries in tax havens to reduce the amount of profit they have to report. Private persons who set up an offshore company, report it to the authorities and tax its profits don't usually run into problems from the perspective of tax law.

- I'm not sure that it's our job as Wikipedia editors to provide commentary on issues of legality. I would imagine that it may be appropriate to say that 'X person stated that there was no suggestion of illegality in being named in the documents' somewhere on the main article for the Paradise Papers though. No list of companies for the UK?
[edit]Have seen someone complaining on Twitter that HSBC is not mentioned in the article, and there appears to be no list of UK companies. Can we add this in perhaps? Jwslubbock (talk) 15:53, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
Map doesnt show Germany

Names
[edit]I strongly question whether people without blue-linked articles should be included here. WP:LIST guidelines would suggest not. While these guidelines do allow for limited exceptions, concerns about WP:BLP, WP:WEIGHT, etc., should also be considered, and using WP:V as the sole criterion is a bad idea. I would propose that any personal-name entries be discussed here prior to inclusion; exceptions, if necessary, could then be handled on a case-by-case basis. Scope of companies / people included
[edit]Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Hong Kong and China were 4 place of incorporation (and 4 only) for the holding companies that wish to (primary) list its share on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, it did intended partially for tax purpose, but it was entirely legal and transparent for those Hong Kong listed companies; they also paid tax (by their subsidiaries), it looks entirely no sense to put Yukio Hatoyama on the list, as he just a consultant for a Bermuda-incorporated Hong Kong listed company. Hope people consider the scope of this list, not witch hunting of listing all the name of politicians. Matthew_hk tc 12:36, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]This article is vandalized several times, probably by Indonesians, due to the involvement of figures of upcoming presidential election in the Papers. I think it's better to lock it for a while. Wirjadisastra (talk) 12:38, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
