Why is Tyra Banks on this list? I see nothing mentioned about her being from Orlando, FL --Redconfetti 07:55, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced

[edit]

I went through this disaster of an article and removed all of the redlinks, deleted the unlinked names, fixed all of the disambiguation links, and removed Zora Neale Hurston, who never lived in Orlando (Brevard and St. Lucie counties don't count). It needs to be referenced (there are currently absolutely zero references) and it really should be broken up into sections. See List of people from Gainesville, Florida or List of people from Fort Lauderdale, Florida for examples of how large lists can be sorted into more easily navigable lists, and referenced appropriately. I will leave those tasks to those who edit this page on a regular basis, if any such editors exist. Horologium (talk) 15:37, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Several of the "unlinked" people you removed are legitimate Orlando residents and/or natives who just aren't lucky enough to actually have Wikipedia pages yet. Did you bother to check whether they were on the list legitimately? Or did you just assume that if they didn't have their own pages, they weren't "famous" enough to qualify to be on this list? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.84.26.82 (talk) 11:44, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This would look better if the table of contents by initial were horizontal, as I see it is on other similar pages. --2604:2000:E010:1100:89E8:A757:4405:18F6 (talk) 19:26, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
