Brigadiers

[edit]

Are they considered as "Generals" ? BlueD954 (talk) 16:06, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I see the title is change. Good. BlueD954 (talk) 04:13, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Chaplain General

Director Army Legal Services

Should they be added?

Also missing are Legal Services and Medical officers. Will try to find. BlueD954 (talk) 04:18, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Chaplain General

[edit]

Should Clinton Langston be included? BlueD954 (talk) 09:01, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I would say no, because Chaplains do not carry standard officer ranks, as shown in Royal Army Chaplains' Department#Ranks SmartyPants22 (talk) 16:45, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. BlueD954 (talk) 04:12, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Updates and comments

[edit]

I have added promotion dates to Generals and Commodores where necessary. Gaia_Octavia_Agrippa Dormskirk could you kindly check if there are any mistakes. Also, should to retire or retired officers be listed? Thanks. BlueD954 (talk) 08:14, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good to me. I would not add retired officers - it would be a very long list. Best wishes. Dormskirk (talk) 09:22, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Removed. BlueD954 (talk) 12:10, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, retired officers shouldn't be, but those are 'to retire' should be kept until they have done so.SmartyPants22 (talk) 19:55, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Colin Mackie aka gulabin.com

[edit]

While Mackie is often used on Wikipedia as a source for British military officers, he does not include those from legal, medical, Staff and Personnel Support, Educational and Training Services or Provost branches and even some females. This applies not only to this list but to the other related lists. BlueD954 (talk) 11:15, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up, but he's still a good base line to build off of. Best wishes – SmartyPants22 (talk) 13:26, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Recently retired officers

[edit]

Should we have a slowly changing listing of officers who have retired in the last 18 months? For ease of continuity? Pickersgill-Cunliffe 27.125.133.224? Cheers Buckshot06 (talk) 06:13, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
