Here is the start of a nav box for when all the unions are listed. I'll move this over to the article in time  Francium12  21:09, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Table?

[edit]

Just a thought.... would this list work better as a sortable table containing headings e.g.: Name, Institution, Date founded, whether NUS affiliated etc., so as to bring that information together and make it more easily accessible? Johnhousefriday (talk) 18:27, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It would but it sounds like a lot of work! I'm more concerned with making sure each union has an article first even if it is just a substub. What do you think about listing the Londons ones differently (e.g. KCL under K and Royal Holloway under R)  Francium12  21:08, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability and Redirects

[edit]

It seems to me that many of these organizations are non-notable or better covered in the context of their associated university. I propose that any student-union red links be made into redirects to the university article, and all existing redirects be de-linked from this page. Remaining standalone pages should be skeptically examined for notability, and all but the particularly notable should be merged into their associated university page.

This shouldn't be too big a deal since a lot of the existing student union articles are already redirects.
