[edit]It looks like little thought was given to the apparently random order of entries in the "Image:ReligijneSymbole.png" diagram. Because we're talking about symbols, the symbolic importance of position within the diagram may not be ignored by everyone. Some may even be offended by what they perceive to be the symbolic meaning of their religion's position in relation to another religion or in relation to some geometric feature (e.g., "highest" row, "foundational" row, "central" or peripheral). As far as I'm concerned, any order will do, but it should be explicit, i.e., order by age of the religion, alphabetical order, arrangement by geographic origin, etc. -DoctorW 15:03, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Something a bit un-NPOV with the descriptions of the symbols.
[edit]Political symbols
[edit]- Anarchist symbolism (including the circled "A")
- Dove (used by the UK Liberal Democrats party)
- Fasces (as a symbol of Fascism)
- Hammer and sickle (as a symbol of Communism)
- Nihilism Symbol (the nautica star or backwards "N")
- Peace symbol
- Pentacle of protection Paganism
- Red rose (used by the UK Labour party)
- Star (as a symbol of Communism)
- Swastika (as used by Nazis and neo-Nazis)
- Torch (used by the UK Conservative Party)
- List of political party symbols in India
- Elephant (used as Republican symbol in America)
- Donkey (used as Democrat symbol in America)
- I seriously think it is wrong to say the Fasces is a symbol of Fascism only, and equally wrong to appropriate the dove, the torch and the rose for only a single UK party. I don't know how to mend things but that above is just horrible. -- Cimon Avaro; on a pogostick. 00:14, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Small symbols?
[edit]I propose adding small versions of the symbols, where available, as done with flags in list of countries. —Ben FrantzDale 15:09, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Rename it if instead of a true listing of symbols this page is just gonna be a bunch of links

List of symbols → List of Articles about Symbols — This page is not a list of symbols, Astrological symbols is a true list of symbols complete with the symbols themselves and an explanation of them, this page offers neither of these things. This page is just a likely incomplete catalogue of links that I don't feel like fixing up, by myself anyway, if some of you are willing to collaborate that could be a different thing, or we could just do the easier thing and move the article to a currently more descriptive name. --I′d※<3※Ɵɲɛ (talk) 22:06, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose a many of the list articles are of this format. You could always expand the article to make it a detailed list instead of a bare list 76.66.195.196 (talk) 06:49, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose not the usual format of pages JDDJS (talk) 18:29, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
