Blatant history falsification

[edit]

@Jadid basmach: Please show me a WP:RS for every entity you added back that says they're Uzbek and named their country Uzbekistan (their respective articles clearly states something else with WP:RS). If you can't do that today, then I'll revert back. And if you continue reverting after that, I will report you. HistoryofIran (talk) 13:48, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Hjoka78: And now you have reverted. Feel free to address this then; Please show me a WP:RS for every entity you added back that says they're Uzbek and named their country Uzbekistan (their respective articles clearly states something else with WP:RS, eg Karakhanids, Khwarazmian Empire, Timurid Empire and so on ). --HistoryofIran (talk) 15:34, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

For example Emir of Bukhara Shahmurad said "We are not from the royal family, our ancestors are ordinary Uzbeks" source:About some events in Bukhara, Khokand and Kashgar, Notes of Mirza-Shems Bukhari, published in text, with translation and notes, by V. V. Grigoriev. Kazan, 1861 it's Russian book, written in Russian Hjoka78 (talk) 15:39, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you need sources i can write you Hjoka78 (talk) 15:39, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Hjoka78: A book from 1861 is obviously not WP:RS, that's even before the time of modern scholarship, but I am not surprised. Again, please show me a WP:RS (please read what that means by clicking the link) for every entity you added back that says they're Uzbek and named their country Uzbekistan (their respective articles clearly states something else with WP:RS, eg Karakhanids, Khwarazmian Empire, Timurid Empire and so on). HistoryofIran (talk) 15:41, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Correction: or at least named their realm Uzbekistan. I'm giving you today to do that, I have no WP:ROPE left for blatant history falsification. HistoryofIran (talk) 15:44, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Explorations in the Social History of Modern Central Asia (19th - Early 20th Century) page 269 read Hjoka78 (talk) 16:05, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, cite the quote (as I just told you in my talk page). Its your responbility to prove what youre claiming is right. HistoryofIran (talk) 16:06, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Barlas is one Uzbek clan " Hjoka78 (talk) 16:12, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hjoka78 (talk) 16:14, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
??? Seriously, all you need to do is cite the full quote, its page, its source (has to be WP:RS), author and publisher. And you need to do that for every single entity you added back. Please just add the sources (properly) here all at once… HistoryofIran (talk) 16:18, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm still waiting for you demonstrate this, you seemed pretty confident when you reverted me. I also checked the source which you didn't even post a quote from, that is page 269 of Explorations in the Social History of Modern Central Asia (19th - Early 20th Century) and to no surprise, it does not mention anything about any of those entities being Uzbek. In fact, it literally mentions something else; that they were of Chinggisid origin; "From the beginning of the sixteenth century onward, Transoxania was ruled by two dynasties of Chinggisid origin, the Shibanids (1501–1599/1600),4 and the Ashtarkhanids (ca. 1600–1747/1785), sometimes also called Tuqay-Timurids". Cleanup

[edit]

There was a great deal of unsourced material in the list that did not meet the criteria. The name of the article is "List of wars involving Uzbekistan" and the criteria is specific: "This is a list of wars involving the Republic of Uzbekistan and its predecessors."

Protests, battles, individual incidents are not wars. Without reliable sources stating events are wars they do not meet the criteria for inclusion in the list. This is not an exhaustive list of military related events involving Uzbekistan.  // Timothy :: talk  15:22, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This has been going on a while and looks like it has resumed. Editor has again restored unsourced material without discussion [1], which they have had time to participate in.  // Timothy :: talk  15:38, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
