I formatted the episode list as a table to included the featured art works/artists and music/composers. Please help fill in/correct the data in the table, I couldn't recall more than a few of them. FelineAvenger 06:11, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Episode List Seasons

Can anyone confirm the attribution of the episodes to the seasons in the current list? I was pretty sure "Ring around the Planet" was one of the first episodes out there, not sure why it was listed in the second season. FelineAvenger 05:17, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

Moved a few of the episodes I think were early ones to the first season. Can anyone point to an authoritative list? FelineAvenger 18:23, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

We need a page for "O Yes, O Yes It's Springtime".

Never mind. I only said that because it looked like the other episodes had individual pages.

Removing advert/wikify tags

This article has been significantly expanded and revised. I'm going to go ahead and remove the advert and wikify tags. If anyone feels they ought not to be removed, add them back, but please provide here in the discussion page some feedback about what specifically needs to be modified.

"Song" column

I don't think the "song" column containing the description of the song (the made up words sung in the tune of the classical composition featured in the episode) is something important enough to dedicate an entire column of the episode table to. What do others think, should we keep this? I will delete this in one weeks time (8/14) or so unless people seem to want to keep it. FelineAvenger 03:49, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Well I didn't make the edit above. Continuing this discussion one the Wikiproject page, as I still don't like this table. FelineAvenger 00:19, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Removed the "song" column as well as the columns for ancillary characters and mission synopsis. The table was just getting too busy and sloppy. The information in the removed columns is much better suited for the pages on specific episodes. FelineAvenger 05:52, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

FelineAvenger, As you can see, the mission column was put back (not by me) and I think you'll find that removing it was overreaching. There's an argument for keeping it simple, but I don't think the mission should be considered trivial since some readers might not remember all episodes by their titles alone and would find the mission synopses helpful. I added back the missing mission synopses with the guest character whenever possible so that mission and ancillary character would remain one column. As for song, that can probably be covered in the individual mission pages (if and when they are created). Brog Likes Rocks 06:35, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
I still think it's a bit busy, although I'm not willing to make a big issue over the mission column. Unfortunately the ancillary characters column has been added back as a separate column too, which I think is kind of excessive. FelineAvenger 23:54, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Name Connections

It sounds plausible, but I have been unable to find a single reference to the source of the children's names on the 'net or any of the DVDs. Did this information come from an interview?

Not helping is that it doesn't fit well. While Quincy Jones was a musician and Annie Oakley did sing (though not most famous for it), Da Vinci was not a conductor and Nam June Paik was not a dancer (or even female). Leopold Stokowski seems a more likely source since he was a conductor like Leo from the show, and there are many dancers named June. Sadly showing my age, June Taylor is the first to come to mind.

Agreed, and good call on the citation needed tag. I've been a long time L.E. viewer with my children and had no idea where that information came from. FelineAvenger 17:26, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Leo more likely comes from Leonard Bernstein.KriZe 12:54, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
I agree that Leo is probably Leonard Bernstein. June more likely comes from June Allyson.
Sounds right to me. Those names were just the first to come to mind. Although with no citation, I don't think replacing the names is the proper remedy so much as deleting the "fact" altogether. No point in replacing one bit of (presumably) made up data with a more plausable bit of made up data.
His name is listed as Leonardo in Disney's official site: http://disney.go.com/littleeinsteins/parents/meetteam.html ... This would suggest that he was intended to be named after da Vinci after all.

I'm going to propose deletion of List of Little Einsteins episodes. I'm preserving the data table from that page as it exists today here, in case some of the data is needed for other LE pages. FelineAvenger 05:24, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm removing the Song, Character, and Mission columns from the episode table on this page. Those attributes do not seem to be significant enough to include in this table, but should be included on episode-specific pages. FelineAvenger 05:36, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Updating an external link

Alyssa Hoffel 19:13, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Since the link for www.littleeinsteins.com is actually going to http://disney.go.com/littleeinsteins/swf/main.html I thought this would be more appropriate and accurate. If that's cool with you, then I'd like to update that.

Doesn't really matter to me, either URL gets to the same place. Not sure why the first time you changed the link was reverted, but since it doesn't really make a difference in terms of the content the reader gets access to, it would seem pointless to get into an edit-war over it :-) FelineAvenger 03:30, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Alyssa Hoffel 21:06, 15 December 2006 (UTC) Thanks FelineAvenger! I definitely don't want to get into an edit war either. It seems kind of silly, so I thought I'd ask before I make another change.

Question about June

Is June Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc?

Japanese version is October starting.--Naohiro19(Talk Page/Contributions) 08:47, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
June is Japanese. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:29, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Question about Leo and Annie

Are Leo and Annie European, Australian, South African, etc?

Changes for Season 2

Would it be appropriate to list changes in Season 2? If so, where would it go? We have come up with:

  • Annie's dress is now pink instead of blue.
  • Annie pulls out a microphone when she sings.
  • Rocket is now capable of going "superfast". This mode is activated by the kids patting faster and faster through Adagio, Moderato, Allegro, and finally Presto.
  • Portraits of each show's featured composer and artist are shown alongside the music and the art.
  • There is now a song (with words) during the curtain call.
  • There is a "gimmick" at the very end of each show (e.g., pulling a rope to make popcorn, Quincy blowing something out of his tuba, etc.).
  • The opening sequence is different than Season 1.

These are great observations. They should be noted on the episode in which they first appear. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:29, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

How are these changes properly noted if they are just observations? There is no source other than watching the shows.Grodney 00:45, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't know if it's the same in the original US version, but in the UK version of season two the childrens singing has become a lot less polished and in some instances is clearly off key. e.g. when Annie is singing about the puppet show the high note is so far off key that it makes me cringe. While mostly not as bad as that, the change in quality is fairly consistent, making me think it is an editorial decision. I can't imagine that they would 'accidentally' leave in off-key singing. Could this perhaps be to make the singing sound more like a real childs? --ThePaintedOne 17:23, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

One year older???

I took a look at the main characters, and the descriptions said that they are all one year older than their usual age. Is this right? Or should someone try to revert the edits? --Jonghyunchung 15:15, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Sub-headings for individual characters

Unless there is a significant amount of information for each of the characters, they really should just be a bulleted list and do not need their own sub-headings. Please do not insert sub-headings without introducing your rationale on the talk pages first and coming to consensus. Thanks. HokieRNB 18:30, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Someone (or someones) keep editing the page to add sub-headings that are unneccessary and to change the ages of the characters by adding one year to each. None of these edits have any edit summaries to explain their rationale, nor are they done by people who are logged in with usernames. Any future edits in the same vein should be summarily reverted, with appropriate warnings given, up to and including blocking said users (or IPs) for vandalism. Thanks. HokieRNB 00:52, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Criticism

Unfortunately, there was a recent unsuccessful attempt to add some necessary criticism to this article. I support such an addition, but it should be from well-referenced verifiable sources, not just the pinings of anonymous IP editor. If someone has come across a citation regarding the "Euro-centricity" of the show, or any other legitimate criticism, please find a way to add it constructively to the article. Thanks! HokieRNB 02:43, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

How about that they teach virtually no math or science, and when they do it's almost invariably incorrect (like the episode where they go to the top of a mountain so they can give a present to the moon)? This despite the fact that the show is named after a physicist. And their vehicle "Rocket" is not a rocket at all but a jet. If the show only intends to teach art and music, and ignore science to the extent that they actually teach nonsense, maybe they should have been named "Little Beethovens" or something. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.195.243.7 (talk) 18:13, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Parody

Should we put in the article that at the end of gintama episode 32,there's a parody of little einsteins?
