This was on my short list of articles that I've been meaning to do. Since someone's already started it, I plan on making this worth keeping. Ol'Lloyd was among my earliest memories. - Lucky 6.9 00:07, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article only begins to do its subject justice. I remember watching the Lloyd Thaxton show when I was in 6th grade outside Philadelphia in 1964-65 every afternoon at 4. It was great, I remember the Byrds, Sonny & Cher and various other groups being on there. I think the Stones and the Beatles were on it at one point. Father of the video?[edit]

The claim that “Lloyd Thaxton is today known as the father of music videos” is neither given a citation here, nor is he mentioned in the Wikipedia article on the subject which is linked to.
