Significance?
[edit]Apprently this article was requested for creation, but I see no assertion of significance here. It'd probably thus qualify for speedy deletion, but I don't want to be pointlessly hasty. Allmusicguide has nothing on them, and if they only have one E.P. they sound like they're well under the bar set by WP:MUSIC. Anyone have opinions on why this should or shouldn't be deleted? I agree, and I wrote the article! I have the EP and saw them perform in front of about twelve bored people last year, so I figured I'm qualified. However, they don't seem encyclopediaworthy to me. Ensiform 18:25, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Hey I LIKE These guys!
missed
[edit]They have a full LP ("Safely From the City") as well as the "Locksley" EP).
Correction: The song "Why Not Me" was commisioned by MTV and the music video followed along with winning "The Freshmen"
Didn't they win a Battle of the bands?
I can personally attest to more than one notability requirement (numbers based on the list from the notability, music list):
10. Locksley performed the theme song for MTV's show Why Can't I Be You? They were also featured in a Starz movie network commercial (that actually showed the band in addition to the movie clips). 11. A copy of Locksley's recent album Don't Make Me Wait was received by Davidson College's radio station, WALT 1610 AM. We are a small station and actually don't receive all common promo releases, yet we did receive this one.
Also, Locksley is one of the most prominent self-published bands on the market today. They performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live (link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxLWP677Kmw ).
Sorry I don't know Wikicode, but since I came here for the specific purpose of looking up the article on Locksley, I figured I'd help it continue to exist. -Nathaniel
