I propose to change the classification to B[edit]

I believe that this article meets the six B-Class criteria:

The article is suitably referenced, with inline citations. It has reliable sources, and any important or controversial material which is likely to be challenged is cited. Any format of inline citation is acceptable: the use of <ref> tags and citation templates such as {{cite web}} is optional.
The article reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain obvious omissions or inaccuracies. It contains a large proportion of the material necessary for an A-Class article, although some sections may need expansion, and some less important topics may be missing.
The article has a defined structure. Content should be organized into groups of related material, including a lead section and all the sections that can reasonably be included in an article of its kind.
The article is reasonably well-written. The prose contains no major grammatical errors and flows sensibly, but it does not need to be "brilliant". The Manual of Style does not need to be followed rigorously.
The article contains supporting materials where appropriate. Illustrations are encouraged, though not required. Diagrams, an infobox etc. should be included where they are relevant and useful to the content.
The article presents its content in an appropriately understandable way. It is written with as broad an audience in mind as possible. Nationality[edit]

@HopsonRoad: I believe Wallerstein shouldn't be characterized as "Czech musician". Born in Prague in the fin de siècle middle-class Jewish family. In that period of time, most of Jewish middle-class Prague citizens were German-speaking, as German was still a primary language of Jewish middle and higher classes in Prague. Having said that, I believe a term "Austrian musician" would be more appropriate. German Wikipedia describes him as "American director and conductor of Austrian descent". As for the Czechoslovak citizenship, I assumed Wallerstein was a Czechoslovak citizen before emigrating to the United States but I might be wrong. Both English and German wiki articles suggest he never worked in Czechoslovakia post-1918 independence. Most of the places where he was active were in then German-speaking world. I believe a lede description as "American director and conductor of Austrian descent" would be a good compromise. Otherwise I see no indication he could be labeled as Czech. - Darwinek (talk) 17:22, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Darwinek: Thank you for engaging here. You make a good case. My caution was born of the fact that a lot of the material in this article was compiled by a direct descendant of his, who is thoroughly familiar with his family history. I'm good with your lede description. Perhaps we shouldn't populate the "nationality" field, since during his early life it might have been regarded as "Jewish" and since the notion of border control with passports and with it identification of citizenship didn't start until WWI.
