Sample Lyrics - Is the translation correct?

[edit]

The french subtitles on the music video translate "iminig g-id" as "Témoin de la Nuit". In English, transliterated- "Witness of the Night", and not "Voyager of the the Night" as shown here. I don't have a reference to the original Kabyle lyrics so I don't want to change them. Which is correct? If the translation is "witness" and not "voyager" then a good translation for the title might be "Witness to the Night". music video here- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqgbuTU_M4c Electravox (talk) 21:21, 14 May 2013 (UTC) electravox I checked with the translation at the official website - and the title is fine. The video is wrong. However the last line of each verse is not. each verse - "the hundredth awaits you (around the corner) last verse - "the hundredth was lost in you" Obviously a translation isn't the same as a transliteration. But "the last falsely takes you" seems a bit too loose. Unless anyone objects perhaps each verse could end with "the one hundredth awaits you" and the last line with "the one hundredth met you" or "found you". This keeps the spirit of the translation but doesn't add to or change it too much. Electravox (talk) 02:28, 20 May 2013 (UTC)electravox[reply]
