Is it possible that Ludwig is derived from the name given in Caesar's Gallic wars as Litaviccus? 4.249.3.119 (talk) 21:49, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- I doubt it, the name is Germanic in origin [1]. If the two names are indeed linked, which might well be the case given the resemblance, I believe it would rather be "Litaviccus" which is derived from "Ludwig". --m3taphysical (talk) 02:54, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
