Lutumba village Beit-Bridge[edit]

Lutumba village is a growth point that is on the Masvingo- Harare road. There once lived a great man Chief VhoTseisi Dambi well know as Vho Dambi. Vho Dambi was one of the first few people to grace the land of lutumba in the early 18th century. Vho Dambi came to Lutumba from Louis Trichardt in South Africa with his father to seeking a place where they can keep their livestock.

Lutumba having been so close to the vhembe river made the Ndou clan to settle on the riverbank of the limpopo river. Still today the majority of Ndou people are found in Beit-Bridge and Messina where their forefathers inherited the land. Vho Dambi was born in 1875 and died in 1995 and was buried in the Lutumba village close to Valemani dam.

Vho Dambi left his chieftaincy to his Second born son vho Thambani Witness Ndou as vho Dambi's first born son Mulumbila had already crossed the limpopo river to reunite with the Ndou clan in Messina South Africa.

In 2002 the Late Vho Dambi's daughter Maria Ndou also known Mia Sarah passed on leaving Vho Thambani as the only child. Vho Thambani took the reins and in 2007 vho Thambani died after suffering a long term sickness and that was the end of Vho Dambi's bloodline rein as all his children where no more. In 2008 Zanda a son to Vho Maria Dambi Ndou took over the reins as chief up to date.
