Suggested merge of Māori identity[edit]

It has been suggested that Māori identity be merged into Māoriness. It is not immediately obvious to me why this is a good idea and no rationale has been offered. Nor has any rationale been offered for merging Māori identity into Māoriness, rather than merging the other way. At this time, I don't support the suggestion. I don't support it either. No rationale, no merge. If a rationale isn't forthcoming soon, we should remove the merge tag. Schwede 66 07:58, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
