This is not the only MV Clansman to have been operated by Cal-Mac, the original vessel I remember operated on the Ardrossan-Arran route for many years before being replaced there by MV Isle of Arran. The original Clansman was a converted vessel, a hoist loader I believe. This should perhaps be mentioned in the article, but I don't know if the original David MacBrayne company ever operated a vessel by that name. Douglasnicol 15:10, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Awaiting repair

[edit]

The change to "being repaired" is a bit of an exaggeration, she's been laid up at the James Watt Dock in Greenock for a few weeks (last checked on 13 July, when the Waverley spent a day there getting repairs and I went along to take photos) and I've been told that she's awaiting a replacement propellor from Germany. Maybe worth checking, and photos available if requested at my talk page. . dave souza, talk 20:13, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Noticed a letter in the Herald referring to an article, so found that and added it. Haven't seen her going down the river yet! . . dave souza, talk 09:52, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
